Remarks: only a few sales today
Interesting meeting: at our first sale we met artist Lani Andrews, a very nice woman who was hosting the sale. She lives just a few blocks from us, and we have admired the sculpture of a bird she has in her front yard many, many times, of course unaware that it sat in front of the artist's home. After talking to her for awhile we toured her yard/shop area which was full of her creations, one more marvelous than the next. She creates her whimsical creatures, flowers and other objects by welding together "junk" metal, using a lot of chrome in most of them. We were just astounded by what we saw, this is really a talented artist. During a lucky lull in the sale she took us through her shop and showed us her latest work, tools and materials. Most interesting and inspirational! The highlight of today's saleing for sure! Here are a couple of examples of her work:
